Your story should be a humorous retelling of a fairy tale, fable, folktale, ballad, nursery rhyme, or myth. The primary purpose of Mythopoetical stories is to make people laugh, so no heavy handed messages about society, religion, etc. Beatrix Cottonpants bores easily.
The shorter the better! Keep it at about 1000 words or less.
Keep fairy tale style in mind. Begin with Once upon a time, and err on the side of telling rather than showing when in doubt.
Include a biography to accompany your story, and links to any web presence you want to share. Of course, no personal information should be mentioned. No one wants the Big Bad Wolf tracking you down and showing up to eat your grandma.
